Heather Tom - Daytime Emmy Awards 2020
Complice il Coronavirus, la 47esima edizione dei Daytime Emmy Awards ha avuto luogo ieri sera attraverso vari collegamenti, escamotage per consentire agli attori e agli addetti ai lavori di ritirare, seppur virtualmente, i premi dei migliori programmi del daytime USA. Una cerimonia che ha visto la soap opera Beautiful portare a casa ben quattro statuette. Heather Tom, l’interprete di Katie Logan, è stata eletta miglior attrice protagonista in una serie drammatica, battendo anche la collega di set Katherine Kelly Lang. La produzione a stelle e strisce è stata poi premiata per il miglior team di scrittura, per i costumi e per la direzione delle luci. Niente da fare, invece, per Annika Noelle che, nonostante la travagliata storia della “sua” Hope Logan per ritrovare la piccola Beth, ha dovuto lasciare lo scettro di miglior attrice non protagonista a Tamara Braun di General Hospital. Infine, The Young and the Restless (Febbre d’Amore) si è aggiudicata anche quest’anno il premio di miglior soap.
Tra gli altri programmi, sono senz’altro da segnalare la vittoria di The Ellen DeGeneres Show, avvenuta anche lo scorso anno, tra i programmi di intrattenimento. Giada Entertains, con Giada De Laurentis, ha battuto la vincitrice ‘uscente’ Valerie’s Home Cooking tra gli show culinari.

Iole anche io non ho capito il tuo commento. Se proprio vogliamo, dovremmo dire RETE4 MUTA.
Non so se lo sai ma la rete che sponsorizzi con passione negli anni 90 si era trovata questo gioiellino tra le mani (l’unica soap che abbia mai guardato in vita mia) e l’ha straziato in un modo assurdo tra cambi continui di palinsensto e tagli senza senso, finchè anche il pubblico più fedele e affezionato si è arreso. Così la tua amata rete ha buttato nel secchio dello spazzatura la soap di maggior successo mondiale di tutti i tempi.
La cosa più demenziale fu che per allinearsi temporalmente alla programmazione USA qualche genio di Rete4 pensò bene di “tagliare” la messa in onda di svariati anni di puntate, raccontando le stagioni non trasmesse in un riassunto tipo di mezzora.
Morale, gli spettatori (me compresa) si ritrovarono con un programma che non riconoscevano più, trame incomprensibili, personaggi nuovi, oppure personaggi storici interpretati da attori diversi. Uno scempio mai visto. Rete4 ricevette moltissime lettere e chiamate di protesta, ma la rete e i social alloranon esistevano e il pubblico non aveva i modi per farsi sentire che ha adesso.
Capace che la mente geniale del tempo ha fatto pure carriera.
