EMMY AWARDS 2010: VINCITORI E VINTI. A BOCCA ASCIUTTA LOST E HOUSE. DUE PREMI PER GLEE. MIGLIOR DRAMA E’ MAD MEN

Emmy Awards 2010 (Modern Family best comedy)

E anche per quest’anno è andata: la notte degli Emmy 2010 si è conclusa alle 5 del mattino (ora italiana). La manifestazione, che assegna gli Oscar Tv statunitensi, si è tenuta al Nokia Theatre di Los Angeles e, come in ogni “competizione” che si rispetti, non sono mancate sorprese, colpi di scena e premiazioni inaspettate: serie televisive amatissime in Italia (e non solo) come Lost (12 candidature) e House MD sono rimaste a bocca asciutta ed anche una sit-com come 30 Rock, che aveva spadroneggiato nelle precedenti edizioni, si è ritrovata a mani vuote al termine della manifestazione.

Tra momenti esilaranti, toccanti (ricordo musicale di attori e sceneggiatori recentemente scomparsi come Gary Coleman), celebrativi (il premio “Bob Hope” per l’impegno umanitario consegnato ad un emozionatissimo George Clooney e l’intermezzo musicale in ricordo di serie ormai concluse come Lost, 24 e Law and Order) e tante, troppe pause pubblicitarie sono state assegnate le celeberrime statuette.

In termini assoluti, i vincitori sono stati:

Modern Family della ABC come Migliore Comedy.

Mad Men,  in onda su AMC, come Miglior Drama.

Temple Gardin, trasmesso da HBO, tra i Film Tv.

The Pacific, anch’esso prodotto HBO, tra le Miniserie.

EMMY AWARDS 2009: L’AMERICA SNOB PREMIA MAD MEN E 30 ROCK. DELUSIONE ITALIANA PER COCO CHANEL

Emmy awards-vincitori 30rock cast

Mad Men e 30 Rock. Un gruppo di pubblicitari a Madison Avenue negli anni ‘60 e il dietro le quinte di un immaginario programma televisivo, sono le due facce della sessantunesima edizione degli Emmy Awards, i massimi riconoscimenti della televisione statunitense, assegnati nella notte al Nokia Theatre di Los Angeles. Al bando, dunque, i premi per i blasonati, Dr House e Grey’s Anatomy vari, gli americani, con fare snob, preferiscono la nicchia.

30 Rock (7.5 milioni di spettatori in media sulla Nbc) e Mad Men (1.5 milioni sulla cable minore Amc) vincono, forti di 38 nominations complessive, per il secondo anno consecutivo, nelle categorie più prestigiose di, rispettivamente, Miglior Serie Comica (per 30 Rock è la terza volta consecutiva) e Miglior Serie Drammatica (e anche Miglior Sceneggiatura Comica e Drammatica).

La serie prodotta da Tina Fey, in onda in Italia su Lei, si aggiudica, per la seconda volta consecutiva, altresì, il riconoscimento per il Miglior Attore Protagonista in una commedia, Alec Baldwin (già vincitore a gennaio di un Golden Globe per lo stesso ruolo). A vincere, nella versione al femminile della stessa categoria, è l’australiana Toni Collette per il suo ruolo in United States of Tara, in onda su Showtime. Miglior Attori in un drama sono, invece, Glenn Close, interprete del perfido avvocato Patty Hewes in Damages, e Brayn Cranston per Breaking Bad.

COCO CHANEL SUL RED CARPET DEGLI EMMY AWARDS: PER LA PRIMA VOLTA UNA NOMINATION ITALIANA AGLI OSCAR DELLA TV AMERICANA

In Italia è stata vista da 6.614.000 di telespettatori (24,10% di share), riuscendo nell’impresa di superare sia Zelig che l’Isola dei famosi; negli Stati Uniti, dove è andata in onda sul network Lifetime, è stata seguita da 6 milioni di abbonati della tv via cavo, diventando la seconda miniserie nella classifica degli ascolti della tv via cavo della passata stagione.

Forte del doppio successo, in patria e all’estero, la fiction Coco Chanel, prodotta dalla italianissima Lux Vide di Matilde e Luca Bernabei per Rai Fiction con partnership francese e americana, approda sul red carpet degli oscar della Tv made in USA, i celeberrimi Emmy Awards. La categoria che accoglie questo debutto del Bel Paese nelle celebrazioni del tubo catodico a stelle e strisce è quella dedicata ai film tv, “Outstanding made for television movie“, in cui compaiono anche Grey Gardens, Into the Storm, Prayers for Bobby e Taking Change, titoli che diranno poco al pubblico italiano, ma contro i quali dovrà gareggiare la nostra fiction dedicata alla stilista parigina, ancora oggi icona incontrastata di stile ed eleganza. E così, se la critica italiana fu poco clemente con la storia di Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, questo il vero nome di Cocò, che dovette anche subire un pesante rimprovero dal poco clemente Aldo Grasso, che bollò il film come “noioso“, gli Stati Uniti premiano il prodotto e lo candidano ai loro oscar tv, la cui cerimonia si terrà il prossimo 20 settembre a Los Angeles.

Ma questa non è l’unica nomination che la fiction si è aggiudicata grazie all’Academy of Television Arts and Sciences: diretta interessata è anche l’attrice Shirley MacLaine, che nel film tv intepreta il ruolo della protagonista da anziana, nominata nella categoria “Miglior Attrice Protagonista in una Miniserie o Film tv“. La MacLaine, che si è sempre detta molto affine allo spirito ribelle di Chanel, e affascinata dalle sue mille contraddizioni, nella corsa per la statuetta dovrà vedersela con Sigourney Weaver (Prayers for Bobby), Drew Barrymore (Grey Gardens), Jessica Lange (Grey Gardens) e Chandra Wilson (Accidental Friendship). L’attrice, premio Oscar nel 1983 come miglior attrice con il film Voglia di tenerezza, in Cocò Chanel era affiancata da Barbora Bobulova (Chanel da giovane), Malcolm McDowell, Cosimo Fusco, Sagamore Stévenin, Brigitte Boucher, Anny Duperey, Simone Spinazze, Valentina Lodovini, Olivier Sitruk, Gea Lionello e Manuel Casella.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES SNOBBATO AGLI EMMY 2006

Emmy Awards @ Davide Maggio .itPer la prima volta, le due serie più acclamate degli ultimi mesi sono rimaste a bocca asciutta; questo, almeno nelle categorie più importanti.

Stiamo parlando di Desperate Housewives e Lost, rispettivamente escluse dalle categorie Miglior Comedy e Miglior Drama.

Si tratta della sorpresa più lampante delle nomination di quest’anno agli Emmy Awards 2006, anche se, almeno nel caso di Desperate Housewives, la critica era stata piuttosto negativa sin dall’inizio della seconda stagione.

Nessuna nomination nemmeno per gli attori : solo Alfre Woodard (Betty) in migliore attrice di supporto.
