E’ ufficialmente cominciata la corsa ai Golden Globe 2023. Questo pomeriggio sono state infatti rese note le cinquine delle categorie in gara per aggiudicarsi l’ambito premio, che di anno in anno premia i migliori film e programmi televisivi della stagione. Per la cerimonia vera e propria bisognerà attendere ancora qualche settimana, visto che avverrà il 10 gennaio con la conduzione dall’attore comico e regista Jerrod Carmichael.

Per quanto riguarda le produzioni televisive, a primeggiare, con cinque nomination, c’è Abbott Elementary (in Italia su Disney+), candidata anche come miglior serie tv musical/comedy. Ad insidiarla, con quattro nomination, ci sono però altrettante produzioni di successo: The Crown, Dahmer – Mostro, Pam & Tommy e The White Lotus. Non è passata inosservata all’Academy nemmeno Mercoledì, la serie di Netflix che, a meno di un mese dalla sua uscita, è in lizza sia per la statuetta di miglior serie comedy, sia per quella di miglior attrice protagonista grazie a Jenna Ortega. HBO Max e Netflix guidano le nomination con 14 candidature. Tra i candidati, lato cinema, anche Lady Gaga, grazie a Hold My Hand, colonna sonora di Top Gun: Maverick. Insieme a lei Rihanna per Black Panther: Wakanda Forever e Taylor Swift per Where the Crawdads Sing.
