Emmy Awards 2012

Sono state finalmente rese note le candidature agli Emmy Awards 2012, la cui cerimonia di premiazione si terrà al Nokia Theatre di Los Angeles il prossimo 23 settembre. A darne l’annuncio questa mattina alle 5,40 (ora di L.A.), Kerry Washington e Jimmy Kimmel. Quest’ultimo, considerata l’ora, si è presentato in pigiama, dichiarando ironicamente: “Se l’avessimo fatto a mezzogiorno non sarebbe cambiato assolutamente nulla”.

Per quanto riguarda le nomination di questa 64esima edizione, sul fronte Drama ben 17 candidature sono andate a Mad Men e alla serie FX American Horror Story. Sono 16 invece le nomination per l’applauditissima Downton Abbey, la cui seconda stagione arriverà presto in Italia sugli schermi di Rete4. Per il genere Comedy prosegue inarrestabile il successo di Modern Family con 14 nomination.

Altre serie che hanno ottenuto un rilevante numero di candidature sono 30 Rock, Boardwalk Empire e Il Trono di Spade. Tra le attrici candidate al premio come migliore attrice protagonista, vale la pena segnalare la presenza di Glenn Close per Damages e di Michelle Dockery per Downton Abbey.
