“Oh, mammamia“. I Maneskin fanno breccia anche agli MTV Europe Music Awards 2021, di cui sono state annunciate le nomination. Il gruppo rock, vincitore a Sanremo e trionfatore al più recente Eurovision Song Contest, è stato candidato come “Best Group” e “Best Rock“: è la prima volta in assoluto che accade a una band italiana. I nostri artisti sono anche in lizza nella “Best Italian Act“. Un triplete inedito per un artista italiano all’interno della suddetta manifestazione, in scena il 14 novembre prossimo e visibile in Italia su MTV (canale Sky 131) alle 21.

Come miglior gruppo, i Maneskin se la giocheranno con nomi altisonanti come i BTS, gli Imagine Dragons e i Jonas Brothers. Altrettanto prestigiosi gli sfidanti per il miglior rock: Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons, Kings Of Leon e The Killers. Interessante il quintetto tutto nostrano che concorrerà per il titolo di Best Italian Act. Oltre ai Maneskin, dal recente Sanremo ci sarà anche Madame, oltre ad Aka7even, Caparezza e Rkomi.

A strappare in assoluto più nomination, ben otto, è stato Justin Bieber. Il cantante può infatti ambire ai premi per “Best Artist”, “Best Pop”, ben due “Best Song” per i suoi successi globali “Peaches” e “STAY”, “Best Video” per “Peaches”, “Best Collaboration” insieme a The Kid LAROI e “Biggest Fans.” Doja Cat e Lil Nas X seguono Bieber con sei nomination ciascuno, entrambi in lizza per “Best Song”, “Best Video” e “Best Collaboration”. Ed Sheeran ed i nuovi arrivati agli EMA, Olivia Rodrigo e The Kid LAROI, seguono con cinque nomination ciascuno.
